My life is the best preface
Patients with liver cancer who have survived for nearly 20 years
July 4, 1999 is American Day. Our family drove from Los Angeles to San Diego to meet Mr. Yu Baofa. He also gave up his vacation and came to see us from home. The first time I met, I didn't expect him to be so young. He is a typical northern big man with a big face, a square face, big eyes, modest and enthusiastic. After sitting in a humble office, he introduced his treatment to my family in detail. When he saw my computed tomography (CT) film, he said, "We can treat your disease. My method is the best for treating intrahepatic tumors." My wife and daughter had a happy smile on their faces, and I felt relieved in my heart. He said: "I just opened a hospital on the mainland, the treatment effect is exactly the same. But the hospital is still under construction and living conditions are poor. I wonder if you can adapt to it. I said: "as long as we can cure the disease, others are not important."
On the evening of September 22, 1999, I came to Tai'an Taimei Baofa Tumour Hospital of Dongping county. The hospital is situated on a newly built six-lane cement roadside in the suburbs, with few decent buildings, no sidewalks and no street lights on either side. When it was dark, the tractors shuttled back and forth, making loud "sudden" sounds, and the passers-by heard the noise make way, because they did not turn on the headlights. Occasionally, cars and taxis pass by, and a dim lamppost passes through the flying dust, bringing a ray of light to the night sky. After getting out of the taxi, I hurried to the hospital gate with my suitcase and started my "survival journey".
Because I couldn't take a bath for a few days after the treatment, I took advantage of the warm and sunny weather and went straight to the bathroom with my washbasin after lunch. The temporary bathhouse is located next to the boiler room, but it is not heated by the boiler room. It uses solar water heaters on the roof. The bathhouse is open for only one hour at noon and evening, and the water temperature is very low most of the time, because the sun here is covered by haze and cannot heat hot water. I went into the bathroom, three rusty faucets lined up, with no partition between them. A bare man was rubbing himself with laundry detergent. I couldn't care much. I quickly stripped off my clothes and stood under the tap. Halfway through the wash, someone called out my name and said, "Dean Yu told you to go to the treatment room as soon as possible." "Come right away!" I shouted as I wiped my body.
When I was sweating in haste to the therapeutic room, many people stood in the room. In addition to Yu Baofa and Ma, there are several nurses and a doctor sitting in front of the ultrasound (B-mode ultrasound) machine. Yu Baofa took a white cloth bag from the nurse, took out a steel needle about ten centimeters long, and stared at the screen of the ultrasound (B-mode ultrasound) machine. Vice President Ma held a syringe and watched the screen of ultrasound (B-ultrasound) machine. The female doctor who specializes in ultrasound (B-mode ultrasound) pressed the probe on some part of my right upper abdomen, then pinched a mark with her nails, and said to him, "Puncture the needle from here." The deputy director of the horse immediately said to me, "I'll give you an anaesthetic now." After the injection of anesthetic, the needle was inserted into my right upper abdomen, and my eyes were fixed on the screen. At this point, the nurse held a high pressure syringe about 2.5 centimeters in diameter and came to the bedside. From the gauze covering my face, I saw a small tube of yellowish brown liquid in the syringe. Yu Baofa connected the rubber hose on the syringe to the joint at the end of the steel needle and said "medication". The nurse immediately rotated the syringe switch, and a burst of swelling and pain came into the liver. As the syrup continued to enter the lump, the pain gradually intensified, and I couldn't hum. Then there were slight swelling and pain for several times, and lasted for about five or six minutes. "OK." Yu Baofa said. "Is it over soon?" I didn't believe it was over, and then asked, "is it really over?" Everyone looked at me with a smile.
The treatment was injected with a total of five lumps. After the first treatment, there was no adverse reaction. No fever, no vomiting, and fever and vomiting are the most common adverse reactions after treatment, some patients will last for several days. Thereafter, two "sustained-release reservoirs" were performed, and all the 10 tumors examined were injected with drugs.
When I left the hospital, it was nearly October. It was sunny and sunny. I was glad that I had escaped from the shadow of death. As time went by, fourteen years passed, and all ten tumors disappeared. I am old and still alive.
The United States has the highest medical level in the world, but it has no innovation in cancer treatment. It has been making the old routine for decades, just like Cheng Bijin's three axes. Compared with the new idea of Bao FA's cancer treatment and "slow release library therapy", I did not know how many years I lagged behind. What else can I say except a sigh?
Reading the Autobiography of Mr.Yu Baofa, he knows why he is so excellent and why he succeeds. In his miserable childhood, great maternal love and the traditional Chinese virtue of "all kindness and filial piety first" encouraged his youth to pursue medical treatment and vowed to solve the mystery of "black hole" of cancer, which was the key factor for his future success. In addition to his own perseverance and efforts, the reason why he is today is inseparable from the support of his parents and family. Thanks to his parents, he brought up such a good son for the nation.
